The installation process:
Depending on the situation your property has, your chimney breast will either be open or boarded-up. Some chimneys will have an old fireplace installed which we would need to remove to fit your new woodburning stove.
- Usually, we will open up your chimney breast and make a rectangular chamber for your stove to sit in. The chamber walls will be smooth and ready to paint when finished.
- Once the chamber is prepared, we will go on your roof and drop a flue system down. There will be a bird gauge cowl fitted to the top to stop birds entering the flue.
- Above the stove within the chamber, a register plate will be fitted to stop heat-loss up the chimney and radiate more heat into your room .
- Prior to fitting your stove, a bespoke slate hearth will be fitted inside and outside your chamber to collect any ash etc .
- On completion, our fitter will demonstrate how to use your stove with a small fire .
No chimney breast? No problem!
We can fit an exterior flue system to run up the side of your house.
We can also fit lintels into your chimney if it is not wide enough, or we need to enlarge your chamber.
All of our stoves are clean burn stoves for use in the city and our fitters are Hetas Registered.
On completion, a Hetas certificate will be sent via mail which will need to be kept with your Stove.

Our complete sales and fitting package takes care of everything, so you don’t have to worry about sourcing fitters. The price includes both the stove and flue..
We will ensure your stove is fitted safely and is HETAS and DEFRA compliant.
We can also supply bespoke Riven Slate hearths as part of the fitting package.
No combustible materials should be within 2 feet in a direct line from the stove. We can render the sides of your chamber rather than using fireboard, for a more permanent finish.
If your chimney has been sealed, we can open it up for you. We can add a lintel to your fireplace to widen the chimney breast.
Most installations don’t require a cherry picker, but if your chimney is unusual or dangerous to access, our fitter can supply a cherry picker.
